This is a child theme of Xi. This gives you a light type for a dark page background. But you still have all the same options and wdigets that Xi offers.
And everything on this page is a wdget (apart from the slider). The main Xi theme can be laid out like this too or in anyway you please, by dragging widgets into place.
This is of course a text widget.
